Sermorelin Acetate is a synthetic 29-amino acid peptide corresponding to the N-terminal fragment of endogenous growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH 1–29), developed for research into pituitary function, GH secretion, and IGF-1 axis modulation. Sermorelin binds to GHRH receptors on somatotrophs, stimulating pulsatile growth hormone release and supporting studies into anabolic signaling, metabolism, and hypothalamic-pituitary regulation.

Supplied as a lyophilized acetate salt, Sermorelin Acetate is optimized for sterility, stability, and extended shelf life. Provided in a 3 mL vial, this GHRH analog is suited for research requiring short-acting, physiologic GH stimulation without prolonged receptor activation.

Solubility: Sermorelin Acetate is soluble in sterile water, dilute acetic acid, or aqueous buffers at pH 5–7.

For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary applications.

Chemical Name: Sermorelin Acetate
Molecular Formula: C₁₄₉H₂₄₆N₄₄O₄₂S
Molecular Weight: ~3357.9 g/mol
CAS Number: 86168-78-7

Sequence:
H-Tyr-Ala-Asp-Ala-Ile-Phe-Thr-Asn-Ser-Tyr-Arg-Lys-Val-Leu-Gly-Gln-Leu-Ser-Ala-Arg-Lys-Leu-Leu-Gln-Asp-Ile-Met-Ser-Arg-NH₂

Structural Characteristics:
Sermorelin is a 29-amino acid synthetic peptide analog corresponding to the N-terminal fragment of endogenous growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH 1–44). It selectively binds to and activates the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs, stimulating the physiologic release of growth hormone in a pulsatile manner. Due to its shorter half-life compared to modified GHRH analogs, it closely mimics the natural pattern of GH secretion.

Mechanism of Action (Research Context):
Sermorelin is investigated for potential applications in:

  • Studying pituitary regulation of growth hormone secretion
  • Examining age-related declines in GH production
  • Exploring effects on muscle mass, bone density, and metabolism
  • Research on recovery, tissue repair, and regenerative pathways through GH–IGF-1 axis modulation

Synthesis and Quality Control:

  • Produced via solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS)
  • Purified to ≥98% by HPLC
  • Verified by Mass Spectrometry (MS)

Product Details:

  • Form: Lyophilized acetate salt
